MEET The Artist

Canadian artist with Indian origins; "my paintings are symbolic and are deeper life reflections using imagery from daily life". She has recieved many awards and distinctions. Her paintings have a rich earthen sensibility. Ameet states, "My textures or patterns help me establish a link between my origins and my wanderings". She is greatly influenced by folk art, ancient techniques and the miniature painting style from Indian Sub Continent. She indulges into multiple ancient and new techniques and mediums to produce her unique pieces.

She actively continues to participate and collaborative with other artists and organisations  such as Arquetopia in Mexico, Art Spring, Community Art Center in Shanghai, Fine Arts College in Chandigarh, India, creating interesting pieces of art by merging relief sculpture into an oil painting, mixed media work, installations, public performances and video performances.

Ameet has continued to pursue her passion for art through teaching, Graphic Design, creating designs, storyboards and logos for suppliers to leading retails brands like Sears Canada, WalMart etc. Currently, she is currently based in Singapore and continues with her passion for art.

She finished an arts residency program with Arquetopia, in Puebla, Mexico. She obtained her Bachelors in Fine Arts and finished Masters in literature. She continued her education in Canada by studying Graphic design under the wing of a great Italian designer.

Her movement accross different regions and rich cultural background contributes to her storytelling technique and compelling patterns/designs in her paintings.

Food for thought

Reducing our carbon footprint is not a choice, it is a necessity of our times.
